Welcome to the Clinical Team’s Blog

Hello – welcome to the first of the Clinical Team’s blogs.

The clinical team has grown recently and we are looking to get more information to you as our customers each month on specialist clinical subjects or on changes that are happening to the training and development side of Health and Social Care. The Clinical Team is now made up of three people, who are working collaboratively to develop, maintain and review all of the subject matter that we deliver across our subjects. As the Clinical Director of the company, it is one of my priorities that we are meeting your requirements for course delivery as well as meeting all of the standards prescribed by the regulators and national advisory bodies.

I maintain my own clinical practice and nursing registration within the NHS at Nottingham Universities Hospitals NHS Trust. I will be moving into a new role at the end of August as part of the Duty Matron team, the awareness of clinical knowledge and skills of others is paramount within this role to ensure that the patients we see and treat are receiving the best care possible, and that is one of my aims also as the Clinical Director to ensure your members of staff are able to do the same. I do have a wide and varied nursing background and started my career within the Independent Sector, so fully understand the pressures that are applied to organisations and individual services, including the financial constraints that are applied during a time of austerity.

At Ashfield Services we know how important it is to get the right training for the right people at the right time and at the right cost. That is why we want to work with all of you on ensuring that we meet these 4 rights throughout your time with us as a customer. Through our Open and Onsite courses we are able to deliver a number of mandatory, clinical and specialist courses at a time and date that is suitable to yourselves. We aim to keep the cost as low as possible also so that you are receiving quality training at the best price possible, allowing you to focus on other priorities within your services.

Our blog will be added to each month to inform you of any important changes to legislation, guidelines or information within the industry. In some cases, these blogs will pave the way for our “Focus Course of the Month”, allowing you to take advantage of booking industry relevant training at our special discounted rate.

At a time of change for the sector with the recent appointment of the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care and the unknown changes that might be coming at this time to the industry, it is more important than ever that the services we provide are as safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-led as ever, and that is where Ashfield can help with any training requirements that you might have.

I am going to sign off for now, as I don’t want to keep you away from other things for too long, but I hope you will enjoy reading the blogs from the clinical team here at Ashfield Services, and if there is anything you need at all or want to discuss further, please do get in touch with us at info@ashfieldservices.co.uk
