National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS)

NPORS has been supporting the industry since it was established in 1992 and is now one of the UK’s leading Accreditation and Registration Bodies. The scheme offers employers the flexibility of being able to have the training conducted at their premises or site location using their own plant and machinery.

As an Accredited Training Provider (ATP), we provide NPORS assessments at our plant centre in Doncaster, as well as offering nationwide on-site assessments.

Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS)

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) provides skills cards for the plant sector of the Construction and allied industries. It was launched in 2003 and since then over 300,000 cards have been issued across 60 categories of plant and related occupations. The CPCS Management Committee continually review and amend the Scheme in the light of on-going Industry feedback, and external factors such latest occupational health issues, technology advances and new plant types are where the Scheme has undertaken such amendments.

CPCS maintains focus on ensuring that the Scheme is centred on the principles of independent, rigorous assessment of operating ability and for assurance of for competence assurance, raising of standards expected in the plant sector.

The Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers (ALLMI)

Founded in 1978 at the request of the HSE (Health and Safety Executive), ALLMI remains as the UK’s only Trade Association which devotes exclusively to the lorry loader industry. Their core aims are:

  • To promote the safe use of lorry loaders.
  • To ensure that the Association is involved in the formulation of any legislation which affects the industry’s interests.
  • To promote compliance with training requirements embodied in current legislation.

We provide training and assessments nationwide for Lorry Loader and Slinger Signaller under the ALLMI Accreditation.
